About the Job:

The purpose of this project was to provide stormwater treatment for three previously untreated drainage sub-basins within the Bayou Texar Watershed. Treatment improvements were achieved by retrofitting the existing underground stormwater conveyance system with three proprietary underground treatment units.

This retrofit approach allowed the City to enhance stormwater treatment without major surface disruption while improving the quality of runoff entering the watershed.

The project reflects current stormwater retrofit technology and is part of an ongoing program implemented by the City of Pensacola to improve water quality and protect local waterways.
